Let's Play Catch-up... Beijing

We have not been the best at updating the blog daily, but this little guy is keeping us busy! So today I'm going to update you all on the sightseeing we've done.

Beijing
Forbidden City

They take bundling their babies very seriously here!!

Summer Palace

This is a male dragon because it has a ball under it's paw and that signifies power.

This is a female dragon because it has a baby under it's paw.

This ship is made of marble!!

Hutong Rickshaw Ride

We took a ride around the last remaining old neighborhood of Beijing.

Victor, our Hutong guide

We stopped at an artists house in the neighborhood to hear about his family's life. This is a picture of their tiny kitchen!

This is the artist and the artwork we bought from him.

Later in the tour we stopped at another family's house for lunch. It was the best meal we had while in Beijing. In this picture you can see some of the families with us. Left to right: Stacey and Sarah, Maddie and Rachel. The rest of our crew isn't in the picture!
